New Zealand follows the Misuse drug act 1975.
This classifies drugs into categories of harm. For having possession or possessing anything to do with marijuana you will get a fine and could appear in court and in the worst case jail.

The laws of marijuana are not the worst consequence of smoking the drug.
The biggest consequence is how this drug is going to impact your school life, social life and family.

Smoking marijuana has the most impact on your social life, not all of your friends may agree or like the fact you are doing drugs. This can be a hard decision to please one group of friends and be cool and smoke or do whats right and stick my your true friends. Sometimes when people look down on you for smoking weed it can have a dramatic affect on your school work.
If you are not happy and content and surrounded by friends you can feel pressured and upset and worried about your friends and not focused on work.

As well as not being focused on work you can feel left out and behind in your work. The school and your friends will start to realise that the drugs are having a bad affect on you and this could get your family involved.

You need to ask your friends family or even someone at the school for help, there are people around who can help with anything you need, your not alone.
